FunTech Gurukul (funtechg.com) is a free educational web app for Indian children. We take children's privacy seriously and follow India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023 (DPDPA) together with the spirit of COPPA (US) and GDPR-K (EU).

Who runs FunTechG

FunTech Gurukul is built by Harshvardhan Parashar, an autism parent based in India. Contact for any privacy question: hvparashar23@gmail.com.

What we collect

• Account info the parent provides at signup: child's name, parent's name, child's age, grade, board, parent email, optional WhatsApp number, optional country.
• Activity: which features the child uses, scores, time spent, achievements earned. This stays inside FunTechG to personalise learning.
• Device basics: browser type, language preference, screen size — to make the app work better on the device.

What we do NOT do

• We do not show third-party ads to children.
• We do not sell or rent child data to advertisers, brokers, or anyone else.
• We do not ask children for personal contact details — only the supervising parent's email/phone.
• We do not track location precisely. Country is optional and self-declared.

Parental supervision

By creating an account, the parent or legal guardian confirms they have set up the account on behalf of the child and supervise the child's use. We require the parent's email so we can reach the supervising adult if needed.

How we use data

• To save the child's progress, badges and streaks so they pick up where they left off.
• To match quiz questions to the child's grade and board.
• To send rare, non-promotional product emails to the parent (e.g. account changes). You can opt out any time.

Data storage & security

Data is stored on secured Hostinger servers in India and the EU. We use HTTPS for all traffic, hash passwords, and limit who on the FunTechG side can access records.

Deletion & access requests

Parents can request to see or delete a child's account at any time by emailing hvparashar23@gmail.com from the parent email on the account. We respond within 7 days.

Cookies & analytics

FunTechG uses a small set of strictly-necessary cookies and localStorage entries to keep the child logged in and remember language preference. We use a privacy-respecting first-party analytics setup; we do not embed Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel or similar trackers in the kid-facing pages.

Changes to this policy

If we make material changes, we'll update the date at the top and email the parent on file. The latest version is always at funtechg.com/privacy.html.
